Our children need to be able to interact with others in our culture, and they need to learn to discern between right and wrong. They also need to understand that evil comes from within their own hearts--it is not simply something forced upon them from an outside source.
Agreed. I think allowing them to interface gives us the opportunity to help them understand what's appropriate and what's not. Where and how to set boundaries. Teaching them to interface sets them up to be able to follow Jesus' example to associate with and reach out to a variety of people. If we protect them to the extent that they don't know how to interact and associate, we cripple their ability to relate and evangelize.
