First, I'm now aware that "of the Lord" and "of Karisa" are DIFFERENT. That in itself has made a radical difference. ;) I'm still not always completely certain what I should do with each discipline situation, BUT I'm now thinking more about the character and attitude of Christ rather than just driving home THE RULES. I'm also remembering that my sin is no less grievous than theirs, which has helped me to have more of an attitude of grace and forgiveness instead of anger.
This concept is very helpful. It isn't enough to follow a man-made method. Who Christ is and what he has done needs to be woven through everything we do as parents.
