I feel like I learned so much about my own heart in this chapter. I was that oldest child who felt fully justified by my own behavior, who wouldn't cut anyone any slack, who has always been very rules oriented, etc etc etc. It made me examine how my line of thinking has tainted my parenting and realize that I'm setting my kids up to fall into the same trap. I really appreciated the sample dialogues, because it helps me see/hear what an APPROPRIATE, GRACE-filled response looks like.
